The Great Fire of London was one of the most devastating conflagration in which a great fire swept through all of London from September 2nd to September 6th of 1666. The fire gutted the medieval city to the ground to soot and ash. Over 13,000 houses were taken, 87 churches including the Garish Treasury, East India Company Building, Saint Paul’s Cathedral, and many more. Henry Hal Heartstone is a young sixteen year old English boy living in London with his family in the countryside. His Father Sir Francis is a famous sea captain from his earlier days and his known for his exploits throughout England, in which Hal looks up to with admiration and wants to be just like him. His mother Layla is a caring and compassionate woman only wanting what’s best for her children. Maria, Hal’s nine year old sister is full of curiosity and light wanting to explore the world and in which Hal has vowed to protect her, no matter the cost. Hal and his Father set off to Old London Town to do some business within the markets and palaces thinking it is just a normal day among them. But when a great fire burns the city to ashes and forces the family to flee their farm, Hal must make the ultimate choice of protecting his family, and irreversibly transforms from boy to man.
