Inspired by the lead work windows found in the many National Trust properties we’ve visited I found out that the diamond shaped leaded ones were known as quarrels or quarries. Glass divided by either wooden glazing bars or lead canes. I have used a simple two stitch cable, without a cable needle in sight to recreate the shape. The ones shown are in Sirdar Heart and Sole yarn in the colourway Twist & Shout.

If you decide to knit these on a small circular needle you will also need an additional three stitch markers to mark the stitch count for each needle
