Lydia Made Simple
Lydia -- the seller of purple: the first European convert, whose opened heart opened her home to the gospel (Acts 16:13-15, 40).
Lydia Made Simple is a Bible-first walk through Acts 16: the riverside prayer meeting outside Philippi, the seller of purple from Thyatira, the worshiper of God who sought Him with the light she had, the opened heart that attended to Paul's preaching, the baptism of her whole household, the holy stubbornness of her hospitality ("she constrained us"), and the house that became the first church in Europe -- the refuge Paul and Silas returned to after the prison.
Explicitly Trinitarian: God the Father who drew Lydia to the riverside; Jesus Christ -- Son of God and Son of Man, Lord and Savior -- whom she believed and confessed; and the Holy Spirit, who opened her heart and who alone opens any heart. Every prayer is to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit.
Read one chapter a day. Come honest. Read slowly. Pray openly.
