The Kruich Oracle

Of old, Kruich was a Salidorian sorcerer of great fame in the art of divination and revered to such an extent that a temple complex was built for her in the cliff caves south of Garmon city.

It’s said that her powers spawned from an unnatural pairing with creatures of the deep, but her predictions were so accurate and precise, lacking the poetic ambiguity of many seers, that princes, lords and any with wealth flocked to the temple to hear what the future had in store for them.

But now the temple is all but forgotten. The magnificent entrance building that perched on the edge of the cliff has long since collapsed into the sea, and those that have ventured in to the cave high up on the cliff face had found nothing but stairs down to an old statue of Kruich, a few empty rooms containing the detritus of the ages, and a strange but small shrine to a giant toad skull.

But now a group of Bandits have taken up residence in the old rooms having carved a new path down the cliff face to the entrance cave. They managed to discover a secret door and broken in to a new room with a shattered font that contained hundreds of gold coins. Having looted these, they are now trying to break through the next door, convinced that more riches await them.

But in the dark ancient caverns and halls beyond is it riches or despair that awaits them?
