The app holds 981 questions. The book prints 178 of them; the other 803 are app-only. So the bundle is 981 questions in total, not 981 on top of the book. The book's two practice exams (71 questions each) come from the book's 178; the app's six mocks (120 questions each) draw on the full 981.

The real NREMT EMT cognitive exam is computer-adaptive: it chooses each question from your answers so far and stops anywhere from 70 to 120 questions, with up to 120 minutes. The app's mocks are not adaptive. Each is a fixed 120-question form on a 120-minute clock, so you practice at the longest the real exam can run, about one minute a question.
