Between Two Souls
The year is 1348. Northern France. Marquis De Bordeaux, a disgraced and fallen French knight, a deserter to the crusades, has decided to lead his own path in life, instead of following the road of men, gold, law and power. His way in life is the only way he truly knows. To kill, steal, run, and live by the blade and blood. Now he has found an orphan of the Black Death in a Norman village. An almost unnerving picture of innocence, she tells Marquis that the plague is only part of a larger cataclysm—that the fallen angels under Lucifer are rising in a second war on Heaven. But is it delirium or is it faith?
She believes she has seen the angels of God. She believes the dead speak to her in dreams. And now she has convinced the faithless Marquis, who does not believe nor trust in God, to shepherd her across an apocalyptic landscape to Avignon. They must cross a violent and dark land full of nightmarish foes and a gothic hell. There, she tells Marquis, she will fulfill her mission. There her true nature will be revealed. There Marquis will confront an evil not only wrestling for the throne of Heaven, but his inner demons in which has poisoned his own soul.
