Anton Bruckner's Virga Jesse floruit is one of his finest short sacred motets, combining dramatic contrasts, rich harmonies and the distinctive sonority of Bruckner's choral writing.

This edition has been carefully arranged for SSAB choir, making the work practical for community, church and school choirs while preserving the essential melodic and harmonic character of the original.

The Soprano 2 part also functions as an Alto 1 part, giving conductors additional flexibility when balancing the choir. This allows the important inner harmony of the original SATB texture to be retained without requiring a separate tenor section.
