The Mini Magic-Owl Pouch is a no-sew pouch for holding small trinkets and tiny treasures when exploring the forest. It’s nifty, eco-friendly, can be attached to a keyring or keychain, and used as a backpack or purse accessory. The design features textured puff stitches made of dc clusters for the owl’s belly, as well as big round eyes, colored wings, and a sliding top that can be pulled up to reveal the bag’s opening! Use it as a holder for mints, lip balm or chapstick, hand sanitizer, or more. It’s the perfect birthday gift or Christmas holiday gift for animal lovers who have a penchant for whimsical, fantasy, cottagecore and woodland styles. This little bag can easily be customized to make a Hedwig from Harry Potter, too.

Medium weight 4 yarn in desired colors (I used Hobbii Portobello yarn)

3.5mm crochet hook

12mm plastic safety eyes (x2) or buttons

Yarn needle

ch = chain

sl st = slip stitch

sc = single crochet

inc = increase (insert 2 sc in same st)

dec = decrease (sc 2 sts together)

hdc = half double crochet

dc = double crochet

dc-inc = double crochet increase (2 dc in same st)

dc-dec = double crochet decrease
