PS: Millennials and Gen Z will run our hotels tomorrow. But today, too many are walking away before they even start shining, because no one has shown them what hospitality really is outside the textbook: the pride, the growth, the human connection… and yes, the pressure. Here we go, the hard truth is: It’s not enough to wait for interns to arrive. If we want talent, we must go to them first and answer their questions honestly because too often, interns come to hotels and are given only basic tasks like filing registration cards or updating profiles. They leave without ever experiencing the real heart of hotel work. Through my book, I share many of these stories but it’s still not enough.

So here’s my call to all General Managers and Heads of Department:

If we don’t, we risk losing the brightest and most creative minds to other industries.
