Squeeze Me
Here's a wonderfully simple yet lyrical introductory solo of one of Fats' earliest tunes, in fact, the second song he ever published.
Note the use of right-hand tenth intervals creating a rich texture plus the sinuous bass line alternative to his usual stride left hand which creates a lazy, sensual mood absolutely appropriate to the title of the song.
Astute listeners may notice the "African Ripples" quote at the end, a melody Fats often interpolated as a sort of mocking pseudo-classical gesture!
