Ponyo children sweater
Construction
The pullover is worked seamlessly in brioche stitch from the top to bottom, starting from cast-on for the shoulders. The slightly sloped shoulders are shaped by short rows firstly for the back and worked to the underarms, then stitches are picked up for each front shoulder separately and short rows are worked for the best shape. The neckline is shaped in parallel with increases, then remaining front stitches are cast-on and worked to the underarms. Underarm stitches are cast-on and the work is joined in the round. When necessary length is achieved, the work is split again for the hems which end with 2x2 ribbing. The sleeve stitches are picked around the armholes and slightly shaped with the short rows. Decreases are worked regularly on the sleeves and the 2x2 ribbing is worked on cuffs. Turtleneck is worked last in 2x2 ribbing to double-length.
The pullover has ~15 cm / 6 in positive ease.
