The Future of Change Management
This book explores the evolution of change management, tracing its origins in organisational development (OD) through the rise of change management (CM) and project management (PM). It critiques traditional, linear change models as inadequate for today's continuous transformation and proposes a new "Strengths-Driven Framework" (SDF) that integrates OD, CM, and PM. The SDF is designed to work within connectionist organisational networks, emphasising distributed authority and decision-making. The book offers several approaches for implementing the SDF, addressing challenges such as risk management and the tension between causation and effectuation. Ultimately, it advocates for a more dynamic, adaptive, and human-centred approach to organisational change.
