Understanding Your Neurospicy Child

A gentle 6-session parent coaching programme for families with a neurospicy child, diagnosed, undiagnosed, waiting for assessment, or simply showing signs that life feels harder than it needs to.

If your child is struggling with big emotions, tricky behaviour, school stress, meltdowns, shutdowns, routines, transitions or everyday family life, it can be exhausting trying to work out what is going on.

You may have already tried reward charts, stricter boundaries, softer boundaries, visual timetables, deep breathing, explaining things beautifully, explaining things less beautifully, and possibly hiding in the kitchen with a brew while wondering what on earth to try next.

This programme gives you space to pause, understand your child more clearly, and build practical support that fits your real family life.

Over approximately 8 weeks, we will work together through 6 coaching sessions, with reflection weeks built in so you have time to try ideas gently and notice what actually helps.

We will look at your child’s strengths, needs, behaviour patterns, communication, regulation, routines, school or education experiences, and the pressure points that are making home life feel harder. The aim is not to “fix” your child or turn your family into a perfectly organised show home with laminated everything. The aim is to understand what may be sitting underneath the behaviour, reduce daily stress, and help you feel calmer and more confident in how you respond.

By the end of the programme, you will have a personalised family action plan tailored to your child, your home, and your capacity. This will include practical next steps, ideas to keep using, and a clearer understanding of what support may be most helpful going forward.

This programme is for you if:

  • You have a child who may be neurodivergent, diagnosed or not.
  • You feel stuck, worried, exhausted, confused, or unsure what to try next.
  • You want practical support that looks at your actual child, not a generic parenting checklist.
  • You would like help understanding behaviour, emotions, routines, communication and family pressure points.
