This evergreen perennial flourishes in dry, arid conditions and harsh terrain, producing succulent leaves with a multitude of soothing and healing properties. The lace motif in the shawl body is a tribute to the tender, pointed leaves of the aloe. It seems fitting that the border with its sparkling beads is made of diamond motifs, because to my mind, both aloes and diamonds are equally precious in their own ways.
