Tropical Rain Downpour Sri Lanka
While exploring the coastal town of Trincomalee in Sri Lanka, we found ourselves caught in the midst of a powerful tropical rainstorm. With our gear ready, we took shelter under a metal roof and recorded the storm’s intensity as heavy rain hammered different surfaces, creating a rich and layered soundscape.
This sound pack features the raw power of the downpour, accented by the faint, rhythmic presence of the nearby ocean. As the storm eased, the ambience shifted. Birds and crows began calling in the distance, blending naturally with the low roar of waves rolling onto the shore.
Perfect for filmmakers, game developers, and sound designers looking to bring the evolving, organic atmosphere of a Sri Lankan coastal storm into their projects.
