ECMO Circuit Integrity Dashboard
PRODUCT TITLE:
ECMO Circuit Integrity Monitor — Clinical Decision Support Tool
SHORT DESCRIPTION (shown in store listing):
A standalone clinical dashboard for real-time ECMO circuit integrity surveillance — oxygenator failure, hemolysis, and thrombosis risk in one view. Built by a board-certified cardiovascular perfusionist with 20 years of ECMO experience. No login. No internet required. Opens in any browser.
FULL DESCRIPTION:
Oxygenator failure does not announce itself. By the time it is visible on the circuit, the patient has already been at risk for hours.
The ECMO Circuit Integrity Monitor is a standalone clinical tool built to catch the early signal, not the late one. It runs as a single HTML file in any browser, on any device — laptop, tablet, or bedside workstation. No installation. No login. No internet connection required.
WHAT IT TRACKS:
• Transmembrane Pressure (TMP) — early oxygenator thrombosis warning
• Inlet Pressure — venous drainage compromise, hypovolemia, cannula malposition
• Flow / RPM Ratio — declining flow at the same or higher RPM signals developing circuit resistance before it is visible elsewhere
• Pre/Post Oxygenator Pressure Differential — membrane lung degradation tracking
• Plasma Free Hemoglobin (pf-Hgb) — the early hemolysis signal most bedside monitoring sets miss
• LDH — confirms active hemolysis in correlation with pf-Hgb
• Haptoglobin — saturation marker, confirms when the body's own buffering capacity is exhausted
KEY FEATURES:
• Color-coded status indicators — GREEN, YELLOW, RED for every parameter
• Live trend arrows — see the direction before it becomes a crisis
• Automatic Oxygenator Failure Risk Alert — activates when TMP and pre/post differential are rising together
• Automatic Hemolysis Signal Alert — activates when plasma free Hgb and LDH are elevated together, often before the oxygenator shows visible clot
• Timestamped entry log with a notes field for every parameter
• Shift summary export for flow sheet documentation
• Print to PDF for the medical record
• Dark clinical theme, optimized for bedside use
• Mobile responsive — works on tablets at the bedside
WHY THIS MATTERS:
Plasma free hemoglobin is a significant nitric oxide sink. As it rises, NO consumption increases, native platelet inhibition declines, and the circuit moves toward a thrombotic state — often before any visible clot appears in the oxygenator. Most bedside monitoring sets do not connect these dots in real time. This tool does.
WHO THIS IS FOR:
Perfusionists, ECMO specialists, critical care nurses, and intensivists managing patients on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Ideal for programs strengthening circuit surveillance protocols and reducing unplanned oxygenator changeouts.
