HOW THE NOON YEAR COUNTDOWN WORKS

Step 1: Tape the 12 numbered cards to 12 balloons.

Step 2: Pop balloon 12 at 9:00 AM and do its activity. Pop the next balloon every 15 minutes.

Step 3: Balloon 1 pops at 11:45 AM. Gather everyone and watch the clock.

Step 4: As the clock reaches 12:00 noon, count down together from 10 to 1, then shout "Happy Noon Year!" and celebrate with cheers, noisemakers, your party hats and 2027 props.

The 4 bonus star cards can be used any time during the party; they don't need a balloon.

GROWN-UP HELP

Younger children, especially ages 4–6, may need an adult to read directions and to help with the word puzzles, simple math and cutting. Please supervise scissors use. Answer keys are included.
