Thomas Made Simple
Thomas -- the honest doubter: his questions answered by the risen Christ, and the highest confession in the Gospels (John 11:16; 14:5; 20:24-29).
Thomas Made Simple is a Bible-first walk through the apostle's story: the brave follower who would die with Jesus at Bethany, the honest questioner who drew out "I am the way, the truth, and the life," the absent disciple who missed the first resurrection evening, the specific terms of his doubt, the eight days of waiting, the risen Christ coming through locked doors with His wounds held out, and the confession no one in the Gospels had spoken so plainly: "My Lord and my God." From doubting to touching to worshiping -- and then to the ends of the earth.
Explicitly Trinitarian: God the Father who sent His Son; Jesus Christ -- Son of God and Son of Man, Lord and Savior, crucified, risen, and worthy of worship as God; and the Holy Spirit, who turns honest questions into worship and doubters into witnesses. Every prayer is to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit.
Read one chapter a day. Come honest. Read slowly. Ask boldly.
