Thunder And Rainfall Sounds USA
Living in Denver for nearly five months was a highlight of our year. The city’s beautiful lake and sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains provided a stunning backdrop for recording, but also made recording thunder and rain a rare event. In all that time, it rained for only about 14 days. With daily highs between 75°F and 105°F and intense sunlight at high elevation, recording conditions were challenging but rewarding.
This library features a variety of weather ambiences: calm rain, heavy showers with hail, distant thunder with deep rumbles, and powerful lightning strikes. Most recordings were recorded from outside our condo near Sloan’s Lake, offering an intimate urban perspective.
Alongside the stereo recordings, this collection also includes ambisonic files, giving you the flexibility to decode into surround formats for immersive sound design and post-production work.
