Snap Count - The Seventies
Ten complete NFL seasons for Snap Count, 1970 to 1979.
The decade the merger built: the perfect 1972 Dolphins, the Steel Curtain, Purple People Eaters, the coldest winters of the dead-ball years and the 1978 rule changes that opened the game back up.
Every season comes as two files. A one-page ratings sheet, every team's ATK, DEF and CGF laid out division by division. And a full schedule book, one page per week, every game a single row with both modifiers already worked out - you write the quarters into the boxes and roll. 182 games a season to 1975, 196 when Tampa Bay and Seattle arrive in 1976, 224 when the 16-game schedule lands in 1978. The books follow the real structure, year by year.
One decade sheet covers the standings and the playoffs, with both real formats: the eight-team bracket used to 1977 and the ten-team bracket with the wild-card round from 1978. Ties are in play all decade, exactly as they were.
The ratings are built from what actually happened. Attack and defence come from each team's points for and against as a share of its league's scoring - the same method Book 8 teaches for rating any league. The close-game number comes from each team's real record in games decided by seven or fewer. The sides that won the tight ones win them here, and the sides that kept losing them still do.
No era table needed. The ratings carry each season's scoring level, so every pack plays on the standard scoring table in Book 1.
