This is a one-of-a-kind Polaroid transfer, created directly from the original instant photograph—no digital file, no reproduction, no second print. The black-and-white Polaroid was carefully separated and transferred by hand onto Hahnemühle 300 g/m² aquarelle paper, measuring 12 × 17 cm. The process leaves subtle ruptures, soft edges, and tactile traces that can never be repeated.

The image shows a reduced, almost sculptural figure—compressed into a vertical gesture, suspended between presence and disappearance. During the transfer process, the Polaroid emulsion was separated from its backing and carefully moved onto fine art paper. The resulting edges are irregular and organic, shaped by water, time, and touch. No two transfers behave the same.

Each transfer is embossed and signed, carrying the marks of the process and the time it was made. This piece is straight out of the camera, created as a physical original from the start—there is no digital master and no edition.
