Nambu Type 94
The Nambu Type A (Type 94) is a Japanese semi-automatic pistol developed by Kijiro Nambu and introduced in 1934. It was designed as a low-cost sidearm for the Imperial Japanese Army, particularly for military police and auxiliary troops. It became one of the more recognizable Japanese pistols during World War II.
Chambered in 8×22mm Nambu, the Type 94 featured a blowback-operated, single-action mechanism. It was compact, with a relatively small 6-round detachable magazine.
