Jog on is a cowl to celebrate running! The instructions provided are for a ‘sprint’ cowl, which forms just one loop around the neck. A long distance or even a marathon cowl can be made by adding extra pattern repeats. A longer cowl will require more yarn. The cowl can easily be customised to represent your favourite type of running - the background colour could be changed to look like track or road, or a variegated yarn could be used for the cross-country or trail runner!

The colourwork is a combination of intarsia and fair isle, with the main colour being carried across the back of the work, and separate bobbins being used for the left and right footprints. The cowl is worked back and forth, end to end. The ends are then grafted together.
Part of the commonwealth cowls series -- inspired by the Commonwealth Games coming to my then home city of Glasgow in 2014! 💚
materials:
aran weight yarn | MC: 150m | CC1: 75m | CC2: 50m

4.5mm needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
Crochet hook & scrap yarn (for provisional cast on)
Darning needle (for kitchener stitch, and weaving in ends)
