This self-guided tour goes along the Charles River, explores two downtown parks each with their own unique attractions, and visits part of Beacon Hill. It also passes by the African-American History Museum.
In summer, you can rent a gondola, take a ride on a swan boat or, if you bring your swimsuit, sunbathe on the pontoons along the river.
In winter, ice skates that you can also rent on site will allow you to enjoy the open-air ice rink at Boston Common.
