Moleery-Tea

Moleery-Tea, a Scots name for yarrow, is a fun mosaic cowlette, perfect for using up left over yarn. Knit from the top down like a traditional triangular shawl, Moleery-Tea is joined in the round just before the lace starts, turning it from shawl to cowlette. Somewhere between a small shawl and a cowl, this is a fun knit and makes a fantastic, easy to wear accessory!

The pattern is fully written and charted so whichever way you like to read your patterns, you’re covered! The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted. There’s a screenshot of the pattern and a list of the stitches used at the bottom of the photos.

Materials

• 95 (105 yds) of Adventures in Yarncraft Silky Singles (75% Superwash Merino, 25% Silk, Single Ply, 436 yds/100g) in Willow (Colour A)
• 205 (225 yds) of Cookston Crafts Fingering Singles (70% Superwash Merino, 30% Silk, Single Ply, 436 yds/100g) in Marin (Colour B)
• 4 mm (US 6) circular needles, 60 cm (24”) long
• 4 stitch markers
• Yarn needle for sewing in ends

Gauge

24 stitches and 48 rows in 10 cm (4”) in mosaic pattern worked flat and measured after blocking.

Differences in gauge will affect the amount of yarn used and may also change the size of the finished cowlette.
