This is a modern 20-panel over-bust corset pattern with a beautiful hour-glass curve to accentuate your waist - bust sizes A - G (sizes UK 8-12), A-FF (UK 14-16), A-F (UK 18-22). The cup section has 6 panels to allow for a fine-tuned fit over the bust. The separate cup panels allow for size options - perfect the main corset body first (especially at the under-bust), join the cup panels at the under-bust, test your toile & if necessary substitute with a larger or smaller size cup panels for a perfect fit (you can also make your cup separately as a paper toile first as a sense check - place this over the breast and assess its fit before making a fabric toile).
INCLUDES A 28 PAGE DOCUMENT OF CORSET CONSTRUCTION & FITTING NOTES! (see video) As with all corset patterns, this pattern is not a beginners level sewing project.
Note – a 2'' lacing gap is factored into this pattern. If you would prefer a closed corset make one size smaller.
The corset length measures 32cm (13'') at the front and 35cm (14'') at the back. The front panels 1-6 have bust sections marked to enable unusual juxtapositions of fabric (or leather as in the case of the example photo here).
This pattern is drafted in AutoCAD and downloadable as a pdf file - you will need to print out on size A (letter) or A4 paper, making sure 'actual size' is ticked in your print dialogue box. Please use Adobe Reader (free) as your PDF Previewer - you will then be able to isolate layers/ lines and print only your required size(s).
A toile must always be made to check the fit of corset patterns – at this stage you can take in the smaller of your measurements and transfer these amendments to your pattern to ensure a perfect fitting corset! You will also be able to test the length of the corset at the toile stage - lengthen or shorten just above the waist.
Please take a look at my website where I have lots of information about corset making.
Please remember that these patterns can't be used for commercial profit (such as a line of ready to wear corsets) - use to your hearts content, but only for yourself and clients! Thank you!
