Emergency and Health Safety Reading Bundle: 8 Sets, Levels A, B, C for Life Skills, High School

This emergency and health safety reading bundle gives students calm, practical reading practice for the safety moments of everyday life, from deciding when to call 911 to reading a warning label, an exit map, or a weather alert.

Why I made this: Over the years I kept writing one off safety lessons each time a student hit a real moment: a confusing reminder text, a "Flood Watch" on a phone, an exit map at a new job. I built these eight sets so that every one of those moments has the same calm, leveled practice, with real looking documents and data.

How to use it: Teach one set every two weeks, or pull the set that fits what is happening right now. Read the documents together first, then students work one level at a time.

Who it’s for: High school special education teachers, 18 to 21 program teachers, job coaches, and families who want a calm, consistent safety reading routine.

Format: All 8 sets, each with a PDF (US Letter, 13 pages, 104 in all) and an editable Word copy. Prints well in black and white.

How this is different: Community + Workplace Safety Signs Task Cards | Functional Reading Life Skills teaches posted signs. This bundle covers the other safety reading, with no medicine labels, no fire drill steps, and no first aid instructions.
