The Morgan Shawl is a staple accessory – geometric, minimalist, and great for layering. It looks particularly stunning in a silk blend yarn, such as Skein Merino Silk Sport, which will result in a drapey fabric. Wear it your way, but recommended as a throw-over with your favourite sweater and jeans!
FINISHED DIMENSIONS
Approximately 138cm (54 ¼”) wingspan and 62cm (24 ½”) deep at centre, relaxed after blocking.
YARN
Skein Merino Silk Sport (50% Merino, 50% Silk; 332m {363yds}/95g), 2 skeins Sterling colourway, or 200g light sport or heavy fingering weight yarn. For optimal results, the use of a yarn with some silk content is recommended.
Sample used approximately 587m (642yds)/168g.
NEEDLES & NOTIONS
4.5mm (US 7) circular needle, or size to obtain gauge (at least 100cm {40”} cable length recommended)
4.5mm (US 7) crochet hook, or equivalent size as choice of needles (optional for suggested provisional cast on method)
4 stitch markers
