TIERGARTEN Park - Originally an exclusive hunting reserve for monarchs, the large Tiergarten Park was opened to the public by King Frederick I, and the zoo even moved there. Completely rebuilt after the war, this immense 210-hectare green space has retained its wild aspect, and although it is located in the heart of the city, it is home to many animals, notably wild boar, and the city has hired hunters to regulate their proliferation. Be prepared to sprint if you come across one (but don't worry, it's highly unlikely)...

With its many small lakes, you'll think you're in the middle of a forest. But the urbirun itinerary will not fail to show you the essentials, such as the Victory Column, the Rose Garden, the House of World Cultures, and we're sure you will enjoy the section on the banks of the Spree, which will take you up to the government district with its bold architecture, and of course, the Reichstag.

A l'origine réserve de chasse exclusive pour les monarques, le grand parc de Tiergarten fut ouvert au public par le roi Frédéric Premier, et le zoo s'y est même installé. Entièrement reconstitué après la guerre, cet immense espace vert de 210 hectares a conservé son aspect sauvage, et bien que situé au coeur de la ville il accueille de nombreux animaux, notamment des sangliers, et la ville a engagé des chasseurs pour en réguler la prolifération. Soyez prêt à sprinter si vous en croisez un (mais ne vous en faîtes pas, c’est très peu probable)...

Agrémenté de petits lacs, vous vous croirez en pleine forêt. Mais l’itinéraire urbirun ne manquera pas de vous en montrer l’essentiel, comme la Colonne de la victoire, le jardin des roses, la Maison des cultures du monde, et vous apprécierez à coup sûr le secteur sur les rives de la Spree, qui vous mènera jusqu’au quartier gouvernemental avec son architecture audacieuse, et évidemment, le Reichstag.
