Larry Correia is among the best American novelists who do fantasy. The great novelist was born in the United States in the year 1977 and apart from doing urban fantasy, he also engaged in a thriller. His main career as of now is a full-time author. He is popularly known for his two famous series, Monster Hunter and Grimnoir Chronicles. Before becoming a great novelist, he practiced various careers. This is because he was an accountant, a part owner in a shooting range and a gun store and a carry permit instructor who was concealed. In the years 2014 and 2015, he attracted a huge amount of media attention. This happened because of the Sad Puppies campaign meant to nominate works. This included his own, which he had great faith that they were very famous, but unfortunately passed by the voters of the Hugo Awards. This was done in favor of more literal stories and works with political themes that were progressive. Larry Correia since birth, grew up in California, where he worked on a dairy farm that belonged to his Portuguese father. He did this until he was in his mid-teens because his family later moved to Utah. However, for some reason, he was left behind in California, but he caught up with his family a year later.

His first novel is known as Monster Hunter International, which even after publishing it himself, became among the list of other books listed as bestsellers in Entertainment Weekly in April 2008. After this, he was invited by Baen Books for a publishing contract. In 2009, Monster Hunter International was re-released and became on the bestseller list by Locus in November 2009. This means he is a great writer as his work is widely recognized.

Larry Correia was a finalist for the award of John W. Campbell for Best New Fantasy/Science Fiction Writer of 2011. His third book in the Grimnoir Series, Warbound got a nomination in 2014 for the Hugo Award for Best Novel. However, in 2015, Monster Hunter Nemesis was selected as a finalist for Best Novel for the Hugo Award, which he declined. His first novel is a series that contains 7 books. The first book in the series is known as Monster Hunter International, which was published in December 2007. It was later republished in July 2009. His second book in the series is known as Monster Hunter Vendetta and it was published some months after the republishing of the first one.

The Monster Hunter International series chronicles the fictional adventures of the employees of Monster Hunter International, a company that hunts vampires, werewolves, zombies, and other monsters in order to protect the general public from them. The existence of these monsters is suppressed by a secret governmental organization known as the Monster Control Bureau. As the MCB is too small to handle all the monster hunting, they place bounties on the various monsters, and companies like MHI receive those bounties after proving they have eliminated them. The main character is Owen Zastava Pitt, a former accountant whose boss turned into a werewolf and tried to kill him. After nearly dying while dispatching his boss, Owen is recruited into MHI.
