Simone Martini Annunciation Diptych
The original of Simone Martini’s Annunciation (1331) was created as a sacred conversation across a large panel: the angel approaching from the left, the Virgin receiving the message of redemption for all mankind, on the right.
I'm happy to offer a pair of panel prints, to form a diptych, that captures the lively elegance of this great masterwork of the Sienese Gothic golden age. Printed as 8×8 prints on a stable MDF panel, with rich colour and fine detail, the pair makes a centred focal point for a study, prayer corner, or any quiet place in the home.
- Printed to order by a specialty fine art printer, the image is sublimated/fused directly onto the surface; not a mounted paper print.
- 8"x 8" x ½” thick panels.
- The chamfered, smooth-finished black sides give it an elegant look.
- It can go directly on your wall, no need to frame.
- Fade and scratch-resistant.
- The surface can be dusted or even cleaned with a soft damp rag without danger of scratching or harming the image.
