This is the final piece in the book (five pieces in all) and really does end the collection on a joyous happy note! This piece is aimed at the confident intermediate player and is graded between grades 5-6, so players of intermediate ability will be able to play all without any difficulty. The other pieces in the full Christmas Jazz Volume 3 collection vary between grade 3-6.
As with all the other Christmas Jazz pieces the original known melody is featured (though often in radically changed styles) but also incorporates stunning new original lines and melodies that really allow the soloist to soar with the beautifully created audio tracks.
Christmas Jazz Volume 3 (the full book) consists of five festive arrangements including smoochy ballads (O Christmas Tree, and It Came upon a Midnight Clear), but also tunes with serious groove factor: O Little Town of Bethlehem (a fun filled swing number), Here we Come A-Wassailing (another light-hearted jaunt full of festive spirit), and Ding Dong Merrily on High, which absolutely exudes joy.
