TME Advanced Netball – Complete Years 7–9 Scheme of Learning

Deliver a progressive and engaging netball curriculum through 14 carefully sequenced lessons for Years 7–9. Pupils refine footwork, passing, receiving, dodging, marking and shooting before applying these skills within positional and full-game contexts.

The scheme develops attacking movement, circle play, centre-pass organisation, defensive units, transition and tactical decision-making. Pupils learn to recognise space, time their movement, communicate effectively and understand how different positions contribute to team performance.

Each lesson includes detailed court organisation, timings, equipment, teaching cues and success criteria. Visual infographics, STEP differentiation, SEND and EAL guidance, Head–Heart–Hands assessment, Assessment for Learning and purposeful roles for non-participants are provided. Metacognition and oracy prompts help pupils explain movement choices, evaluate team structures and contribute confidently to tactical conversations.
