I've Got You Under My Skin - Jim Hall
Jim Hall's solo on Cole Porter's song "I've Got You Under My Skin" is featured on the album "Intermodulation", recorded in 1966 and published by Verve.
This has been carefully transcribed and revised to be as accurate as possible, respecting what I believe were Jim's fingerings and musical intent. This involves determining on which strings or where on the fretboard Jim played each phrase, along with ensuring the right articulation.
While I might approach certain sections differently, I find it invigorating and enlightening to understand Jim's thought process and observe his solo on the fretboard. Similar to many other guitarists of his era, Jim, like his contemporaries, tended to play more horizontally than vertically on the fretboard.
