Astro Survival

Astro Survival Mission is an interactive science game where students take on the role of an astronaut making 10 critical survival decisions across 3 missions set in extreme thermal environments in space. Students choose from Mission IO — stranded on Jupiter's volcanic moon at 1,600°C — Mission ARCTIC — restoring heating on a space station plummeting to −180°C — and Mission SOLAR — protecting a spacecraft from a 2,000°C radiation storm — each with 10 decisions and real consequences tracked across suit integrity, power, and thermal control systems. At each decision, students run one of 8 unique interactive simulators — including a particle viewer, pipe repair, airlock temperature stabiliser, solar absorption comparator, heat scanner, heat distribution simulator, O₂ balancer, and radiation shield — before making a science-based choice. Through the missions, students build understanding of conduction, convection, radiation, insulation, states of matter, particle behaviour, and heat transfer, with a bonus Habitat Design challenge unlocked upon completing all three missions.

All Aura Learning Studio resources are interactive, no-prep HTML learning games designed for easy classroom use. Each game includes voice-over support for questions and answer options, voice choice settings, read-aloud controls, feedback throughout the activity, student-friendly navigation, and options to print or save results as a PDF where included.
