The lowest or most unsuccessful point in a situation.

An asymmetrical triangle. A deep, saturated teal. Simple, familiar, repetitive stitches, sitting at odds with each other. Yarn held double for a faster, plumper knit. No fancy techniques, no additional notions, no complicated instructions.

Nadir is a pattern you can reach for at your lowest point - when your knitting mojo has left the building, when your life insists that your focus is elsewhere, when the only way is up.

Once completed you'll have acknowledged life's sharp edges and dark recesses, and channeled them into a thing of comfort that draws you close and holds you warmly as you take steps up and out to clearer, sunnier times.

Yarn: fingering + fingering, 800+yards (732+ metres)
Needles: 4mm
Sizing: Two sizes, +custom (any yarn weight)
Techniques: cast on (long tail); bind off (Russian); knitting flat

Fabulous pattern

This pattern does exactly what it is designed for! It is a very therapeutic knit. Simple and beautiful. The pattern is well written and very easy to follow. No confusing bits. Perfect for knitting when you can't knit! I would thoroughly recommend this.

Lovely, soothing pattern

I had the pleasure of test knitting this pattern for Victoria. It did EXACTLY what it said in the description - provided a rhythmic, soothing knit when the world was going to hell all around me. It knits up like a dream, and when blocked it opens up into a lovely big squishy hug for your shoulders. I will be making more of these, as it shows off the yarns you use beautifully too. A highly recommended pattern, with beautifully clear instructions

Brilliantly written pattern, well worth the price!

Nadir is gorgeous, and has become my "go-to" shawl pattern when I want something satisfying to knit and easy to memorise. The pattern is very well-written, user-friendly and accessible - if only all patterns were written like this!
