This is the iconic ”Lenny” TONE: trebly, mostly clean (edge of breakup), with much reverb. SRV starts with the Neck+Middle pickup, then goes to the Bridge for a couple of licks, then the Neck, to return to the Neck+Middle. He uses the whammy bar while playing chords. Audio is a direct recorded Strat, Fender Tex-Mex Pickups (first Neck+Middle, later Bridge, then Neck). +other examples at end of video!
