Turn your own trading rules into numbers, and see where they disagree with each other.

Type your own numbers: account size, risk per trade, daily and weekly loss limits, most trades a day, when you stop after losses in a row, most positions open at once and your target in R. Then add a line for each setup you trade: shares, futures or forex, with tick or pip values from your own broker.

Trading Plan and Position-Size Planner works out everything in code on your own computer, and states every formula:

- 1R in money and the size your own rules give for each setup, always rounded down so the loss at the stop never passes 1R;

- the loss at the stop with costs, the result at each R multiple after costs, and the reward-to-risk after costs;

- how many losses in a row reach each of your limits, and the most a day and a week can lose before one of your rules stops you;

- a losing-streak table at a fixed amount and at a percent of the balance.

It shows where your own numbers disagree with each other, lists the rules your plan does not set yet, and makes a one-page plan to print. Claude Opus 5.5 then explains the plan in plain words, takes up every conflict and asks you questions. You can answer them on the page (free) and ask for notes on your answers.

What makes it different

- Your rules, your numbers. It never proposes a different risk, size or limit, and gives no rules of thumb: it shows what your own numbers mean.

- Conflicts found in code, for example a stop wider than your risk per trade allows, or open risk above your daily limit.

- Every number in the explanation is checked in code against the app's own figures, and the result of that check is shown to you.

- Arithmetic, not forecasts. The app simulates nothing and works out no probability. If the explanation drifts into advice, verdicts, forecasts or promises, the app catches it and asks for a rewrite.

- The cost is shown before every run, and you set a limit. In our own test on made-up data, a run cost about 12 cents on our own Anthropic account, and the notes on four answers about 10 cents more. Saving your answers is free.

- A one-page plan to print, a full Word report and an Excel file.

What you need

- Free Node.js 18+ (Windows, Mac or Linux).

- Your own Anthropic account and API key, with a little credit. A Claude chat subscription does not include API access.

- No files and no market data: you type your own numbers, with tick and pip values from your broker.

You pay Anthropic directly for what you use, on top of the price of the app.

Educational only. Your own rules turned into arithmetic: not advice on what to trade, how much to risk or what size to use. Past or simulated results do not predict future results. Not financial advice. The app never places trades. Trading involves risk of loss. If we can't get the app running for you, email kit376351@gmail.com within 14 days for a refund of the app price. Kitson Workshop is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.
