Show me the Unicode!
GREP Unicode of Character(s) is an Adobe InDesign script that converts a text selection from the active document into its Unicode hexadecimal representation in \x{XXXX} format. Instead of manually looking up code points for special characters you encounter in a layout, you select the character(s) in InDesign and the script displays the GREP-ready tokens in a floating palette.
It runs as a floating palette that opens pre-loaded with the Unicode values of the current selection. A Refresh button re-reads the selection without relaunching the script, and Send to Find (or Shift+click for Send to Change) injects the values into InDesign’s GREP Find/Change dialog.
New in 1.2

- Direct code point vs. surrogate pair option for characters above the Basic Multilingual Plane.
- Hold Shift to send values to Change to instead of Find what; the button label updates live.
- User documentation (PDF)
