Multi-line Text to GREP Query Converter
GREP Multi-line Text to Query is an Adobe InDesign script that turns a list of text strings — one per line — into a single GREP query that matches any of them. Instead of hand-writing an alternation like (cat|dog|fish) and escaping every special character yourself, you paste or type the words, and the script assembles the pattern, escapes what needs escaping, and hands you a ready-to-use GREP.
It can auto-populate from text you’ve selected, preview the query live as you type, and send the result to InDesign’s Find/Change dialog, a text frame, or a .txt file on the Desktop. Options control case sensitivity, word boundaries, whitespace handling, and sorting.
