In a kingdom consumed by perpetual warfare and unaware of Christmas, Prince Moldo returns bearing a prickly holly branch as a token from the King of Zowega, intended as a symbol of love and the Secret of Happiness. Misinterpreting it as a declaration of war, the council is puzzled until the youngest princess, Moldo's former playmate, recognizes its true meaning. Amidst tense deliberations, the youth reveals himself as Prince Moldo, seeking peace and proposing marriage to the youngest princess. Their union marks the end of war and introduces Christmas traditions of love and goodwill to the kingdom, forever changing its destiny.
