CompleteCalm and RapidRelax use three techniques which interact, increasing overall effectiveness, acting as force multipliers.


1 Hypnosis has been shown to be the most effective method of reducing stress and restoring energy levels [2]. Hypnosis done correctly is way of focusing the mind (not a way of inducing some deep sleep or dream-like state as often thought). Therefore, it can create relaxation, lower stress and tension, but also create energised 'peak' states that we find hard to access due to the noise of modern life [3].


2 Brainwave synchronisation uses tones played at a frequency found in various brain states [4].

Delta (1–4 Hz): Deep, dreamless sleep. Vital for physical rest and healing.

Theta (4–8 Hz): Deep relaxation. Vital for focus, attention and memory processing.

Alpha (8–13 Hz): Relaxed wakefulness. Essential for emotional control and good decision making.

Beta (13–30 Hz):  Alertness, focus and problem-solving.

Gamma (Above 30 Hz): Peak concentration, perception, and complex information processing.

Note - we interpret each brain state in our own way. Compare the feeling of nervousness and excitement. They have the same physiology (adrenalin, increased heart rate, heightened sensory awareness) but we interpret their physiology differently. Hypnosis reshapes the way we do this. For example, flow state shifts electrical activity away from fast, beta and gamma waves into slower alpha and theta brain wave frequencies. This causes the prefrontal cortex to work at an optimal speed, stops overthinking, and creates a zone of effortless focus, deep creativity, and high performance.
