Little Roots Backyard Bird Station

The Little Roots Backyard Bird Station

6-Page Hands-On Nature Adventure • Ages 2–9 • FREE

Turn your window, backyard, porch, or local park into your very own bird-watching station!

This hands-on Little Roots adventure encourages children to slow down and observe the real birds around them. Instead of needing to identify species right away, children practice watching, listening, describing, counting, and noticing bird behavior.

Inside you'll find a Junior Bird Watcher badge and station sign, bird observation activities, a listening and counting station, reusable Bird Watcher Mission Cards, a field drawing activity, and a Junior Bird Watcher certificate.

Designed with Little Roots + Growing Roots options for ages 2–9.
