RUBBING QUEER STICKS TOGETHER begins by deconstructing my physical form: gazing critically at biology and social constructions, as well as the materiality of trans feminine bodies. From here I unravel masculinities in my life (intimate partners, bodily changes from HRT, markers of male, female, and other). On the final pages I consider my role as a trans settler, questioning links between MMIWG2S and trans women of colour. My use of emoji art is political and playful: feel free to interpret these symbols as you wish.
