The Coasting patterns capture the joy of Woven Knitting. Learn this innovative technique where different designs magically emerge as you repeat the same pattern! Knit all four coasters simultaneously in the round. When they’re off your needles, felt them & cut them into individual coasters!

This pattern is suitable for knitters comfortable with cables. The accompanying tutorials not only demonstrate each cable stitch but also guide you in reading your fabric, understanding cable movements, and fixing mistakes.

Yarn: 2 colours of DK/Worsted weight non-superwash yarn that felts well

Yarn Usage for 4 coasters: 80 yd/ 73 m of each colour

Needles: 4.5 mm/ US 7 circular needles; 20-24 in/ 50-60 cm needle 

Gauge: 18 sts/ 28 rows to 4 in/ 10 cm in stockinette stitch worked flat

Felted Gauge: 18 sts/ 32 rows in stockinette stitch worked flat

Finished Size of each coaster: 4.5 in/ 11.5 cm square

Recommended Yarn: Wooldreamers Mota; 1 ball of each colour is enough to make up to 12 coasters

Notions: crochet hook, stitch markers.
