Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Too hot, too cold, just right, and a lesson about asking first.

Description:

Deep in the woods, three bears leave their porridge to cool and go for a walk. Along comes Goldilocks, a curious girl with bouncy golden curls. The door is open, so in she goes.

She tastes the porridge, tries the chairs, and climbs into the beds. One is too hot, one too hard, one too high, and one is just right. Then the bears come home. "Somebody has been eating my porridge!"

This warm retelling of Robert Southey's classic tale adds a kind ending: Goldilocks comes back to say sorry, bakes muffins for the bears, and helps mend Baby Bear's broken chair. It ends with the Moral of the Story and Think and Talk questions for reading at home or in class.
