This 507 page document gives the names of probate files located in the McLean County Circuit Clerks office. The names are indexed to the Box No., Case No., Date of filing, Socket and nature of documents.
Most of the dates after 1900 are given, and records begin around 1838.
Researcher should examine the document for names and spellings, noting the details of each case.
Then call the McLean County Circuit Clerks Office and arrange a time to meet and examine the documents.
The old records are stored off site and are retrieved only once a week, so you must email or call ahead.
