Avalon Women and Girls

This is a set of patterns in two sizes for a shoulder bag with an optional top handle and detachable shoulder strap. Both sizes have an exterior back slip pocket, an interior zip pocket and an interior snap pocket. The girls’ bag is perfect for young girls or anyone who prefers a smaller bag. The women's and the girls' sizes may have an optional interior divider zipper pocket. While we prefer the girls’ version without the zipper divider, we have included the option so that you can choose for yourself.

Avalon can be made in fabric, vinyl, garment weight leather or a combination. If desired, you may omit the contrast band on the flap. General sewing knowledge and experience are required. While this is not an absolute beginner pattern, it is not overly complicated to sew. This bag may be sewn from vinyl on a domestic machine provided it can sew up to four layers of vinyl. Test your machine by using the correct needle, thread, stitch length and tension when using a domestic machine. A walking foot attachment helps a great deal.

In addition to printable patterns for both sizes, cut by dimension instructions are included for most pieces. We have also included copy shop files so that you may either have a one page pattern printed or use them with a projector.

Girls 5" tall, 8" wide, 2.5" deep.

Women 8.5" tall, 12.5" wide, 3.75" deep

Distribution, copying in any form or re-selling PDF patterns in whole or in part is expressly forbidden. Please feel free to sell finished items you personally make using a Frankie T pattern. However, these patterns are not for use in mass production. Additionally, contracting a third party to reproduce the pattern pieces in any form or to produce finished bags made from our patterns is prohibited.However, copy shop printing for personal use is permitted.
