Beginner Bag Book and Patterns

Do you want to learn how to sew well? This book and the patterns are meant for beginners.

All bags are made from fabric because fabric is more forgiving than vinyl. Once you've gotten comfortable sewing with fabric, go ahead and make them in vinyl. The book covers everything from choosing patterns and fabric to working with zippers and simple hardware. The patterns that follow build upon the information contained in the book. The hardware and zippers required can all be found easily in craft stores. Hardware includes magnetic snaps, sliders, D rings, and snap hooks.

This bundle is like getting five patterns for five dollars each, a bonus pattern, and a free book!

The included patterns are as follows:

Tucker is a simple shoulder bag with a snap closure. The interior features a slip pocket that can be divided or snapped shut. Approximate finished measurements 10” tall, 11.5” wide, 3” deep.

Razor is a fully lined, unisex toiletry bag. Approximate finished measurements 11" wide, 8" tall, 4 deep.

Packard is a wallet with an optional exterior zipper pocket, 12 interior credit card slots, and up to two slip pockets. Approximate finished measurements 8" wide, 4" tall, .75" deep.

Element can be used as a small tote or a handbag. There is an exterior zip pocket, a recessed zipper closure, and an interior slip pocket. Approximate finished measurements: 11" wide, 8" tall, 4" deep.

Escort has a zip closure, rear slip pocket, tab closure, recessed zipper, interior inset zip pocket and interior slip pocket.

Approximate finished measurements 10” wide, 7” tall, 3" deep.

Pacer is a drawstring bag that is included for topstitching practice. Approximate finished measurements 9” Tall, 7” wide, 3” deep.

There are six bag patterns and an inset zipper practice pattern included with the book. All but the inset zipper practice and the drawstring bag have both print and projector patterns. The projector patterns are included at the end.

Please feel free to sell finished items you personally make using a Frankie T pattern. However, these patterns are not for use in mass production. Additionally, contracting a third party to reproduce the pattern pieces in any form or to produce finished bags made from our patterns is prohibited.However, copy shop printing for personal use is permitted.
