Sometimes the yarn just tells you want it wants to be. This beautiful hand-dyed silk blend with flecks of gold, green and grey and this grassy motif are just the match.

These socks are worked from the toe up using Judy’s Magic Cast On, have a short row heel and use a stretchy bind off.

Materials:
Polka Dot Sheep Iron Horse, 75% Merino/ 25% Mulberry Silk, 438y/400m; 100g/3.5oz. 1 skein of King’s Landing.

Tools:
US 0 (2mm) double pointed needles or magic loop equivalent in needle size to obtain gauge; cable needle; 2 fine stitch markers.

Gauge:
35 sts/48 rnds over 4”/10cm in stockinette stitch in the round, blocked.

Sizes:
Choose a size from the table below where the Foot Length is ~½”/1.5cm smaller than actual length of the foot of the intended wearer. See photo to the right for table of sizes available.

Abbreviations:
Bobble – (RS) In 1 st, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, turn work, (WS) k5, turn work, (RS) p5, turn work, (WS) k2tog, k1, k2tog, turn work, (RS) sl2, sl 2nd st from right-hand needle over and off 1st st, sl st from right-hand needle back to left-hand needle, sl 2nd st from left-hand needle over 1st st and off needle, transfer remaining st to right-hand needle.
CO – Cast on
Inc1 – Increase by one stitch using backwards loop cast on
K – Knit
K2tog – K 2 sts together (right leaning decrease)
Ktbl – Knit through the back loop
P – Purl
PU – Pick up st
